Photo Friday: The Money Shot!

Yep - Here is where all of our money went.  Okay, a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of the doctor's office, but still quite a bit of money.  I'm happy because the pharmacy initially told me that they ordered 9 cartridges of Follistim - and it looked like a 7 on the form from the RE's office to me, and when the meds actually arrived, there were only 7 - so that lowered the cost by quite a bit.  Only $2,200.12.

Anyway, here's the picture of everything unpacked from the box.

And the picture of everything that didn't need to go in the fridge with Jakobe's insulin all packed up into a shoe box so that I could put it in the closet.

So anyway, there you go. The only other thing I have to complain about is that apparently my body isn't cooperating.  It's grumpy with me right now and has gone all spotty and crampy.  Now though, I need to get to bed, so that I can get up earlyish to shower and shave before my massage tomorrow.  Yay! massage - any excuse for a massage is a good excuse.

  2. Aww the money shot. I am glad that I captures mine on camera (although I never posted it) so that I can remember. We were throwing away boxes of meeds so quickly and now there is almost nothing left!!!

Good for you for getting a massage! You just inspired me to go get a pedicure tomorrow ! Yeahhh!

  3. Ha - you caught me out! Sorry, didn't mean to blab on about you on my post but I was all worried (and I didn't realize you'd read it of course!) Glad you found it though.

It's funny that I never took a "mony shot" - but my stuff is way less expensive since all the good stuff goes to the donor (and I never saw it). The clinic was really terrific about ordering it all for me and having it delivered there, so they could divide it and the insurance would pay! I have United HC too and ours will cover IVF but not donor stuff. Stupid.

Good luck on all your shooting up - hoping you have no headaches!

  10. Hi there. Stopping by for ICLW. I have a picture like that from a few years ago myself. Not quite as many drugs, but just as daunting at the time. Frighteningly, I think the remnants are still hanging around in a box in my closet somewhere. Good luck moving forward. I'll be sending my best wishes your way!

  12. Your meds are so organized. I have my pharmacy sprawled out on my dining room table. But I love getting my meds because it means it's time to start. Good luck!

  13. You've inspired me to organize mine better. I just threw everything back in the original box and sat it on the spare room bed!

You've also inspired me to get a massage in the near future. I think I might have a day this week before I start my meds on Sun, where I pamper myself from head to toe!

  14. @Amirini Doing the math, it looks like I paid $240 for each 300 IU Vial. I ended up with 7.
