Despite the tears and tumultuous weekend, I'm glad things are falling into place. It took my DH lots of time too, to get to where all of this was okay with him, but at some point, I think something similar happened.
It took us a year and a half from finding out that we needed IVF to actually doing it for both emotional and financial reasons. I'm ultimately glad that we had that time, because it really did reinforce that this was the right decision for us.
At my clinic, the infectious disease screening needed to be done within the past year from cycling, but I did mine in the cycle before we started. It was cheaper if DH did his karyotyping and disease screening at the same time, so his was about a year old.
I can't tell you how much your comment on my post today meant to me. Thanks for understanding. Me having this place with people in our situation who I am able to talk to is so helpful, I need to understand that he doesn't have this. Maybe I should encourage him to blog like your hubby is?
So, Here I am, half of a couple struggling with infertility. I've got Endometriosis, and he's got severe male factor infertility. Our only hope of having a child that is biologically ours is IVF with ICSI. while we deal with all of these different detours on the plans we had made, I'm sharing my journey with all of you. You also get treated to some excerpts from my experiments with food, and a minor photography addiction.
No wonder you cried!
ReplyDeleteI guess you can rest assured that he is not agreeing to IVF just for you, it's obviously what he wants too.
AWESOME!

Good luck!
I'm really glad to see you two are moving forward. It seems like nothing related to IF is easy, but it helps to have a loving husband!
