I wrote this poem a couple of weeks ago, and I've had more days like it that I care to think about. I'm going to find my way back out, but I'm not there yet.
Today I sit at the edge of Tears
their salty ocean before me
behind me
and within me
A salty drop waits to join them
but is held here
unshed
waiting
Today I sit at the edge of tears.
hi Jenni,
ReplyDeleteI think that going MIA is a pretty decent strategy to deal with life sometimes. It seems to work really well for me, although my mom and bestie have now learned my tricks and come looking when I disappear.
There are so many feelings of loss and sadness and i imagine many more that are demanding your attention right now. and the tears, well, tears are exhausting, holding them back even more so.
So, yeah, take whatever time you need, and let us know how we can be supportive, and we'll be here for you. hang in there , my friend.
Sorry you are dealing with this, my friend. I often sit on that edge right beside you as well.

It takes time. Be good to yourself, we will still be here.
ReplyDeleteI think going MIA at different times is the healthiest thing we can do for ourselves. I hope you are able to do some LIVING during this MIA period.
ReplyDeleteBeen missing you and wondering how you're doing... sorry to hear that you're still feeling teary. This IF thing is such a nightmare ! Completely understand your MIA... hugs to you and love to you always xoxo
ReplyDeleteLike Marianne says, I think it's important to go MIA sometimes. Stay sane, have fun, and remember that you will be happy. We'll be checking in!
